Trousers have a long non-Judea-Christian history and Jesus in his prehuman existence would have been well aware of their existence and practicality. However, Jesus never wore pants or cheap polyester suits. Why? Clearly because these were associated with pagans including Chinese, Celts, Persians, etc. that were part of Satan's world. Pants were popular with warriors on horseback, so wearing pants would be as acceptable to a true christian as walking around with an AK45 slung over the shoulder.

Rumor has it that an early Church father, Antonio Morrisianium the Thirdian, condemned pants as a tool of pagan homosexuals that in the snugness of their fit caused pagan tingly sexual arousal of Christian naughty parts.

this is going around the kingdom halls now, i thought it was a hoax but are not all the end time dates produced by the organization some hoax or con?

the reason why the end did not come in 1975 was the watchtower society had not put eve's creation in their equation.

i was told when we had a "meet and greet" if "we knew the date of eve's creation we would know the year jehovah was going to destroy the earth.. it's been 40 years since 1975, can you believe it's been 40 years since "stay alive till 1975!"?

on why 40 years - well, in some of the WT publications, mention is made that 40 years seems to be a biblical precedent for maturity (spiritual maturity) and development.

Actually, 30 years was considered important for maturity. Jesus was 30 when he supposedly began preaching and was based on the Hebrew standard. 40 years was considered "a generation" for those 30 and over to finally die off and be replaced by the next generation.

I was in bethel in 2005. A gilead student explained to me about the 1975 + 30 year speculation. While they considered it "interesting" or maybe even "important", they didn't give it much cred since all the UN and false religion destruction fulfillment would take years and 2005 was already underway.

But the difference between 30 and 40 years doesn't amount to a pile of crap because big A isn't coming in 2015 either.

Early Morning Informal Witnessing, Yay!!

how many of us would get up and "start your time" by 6:00am or earlier?.

i sure did my fair share and convinced many others to join me semi-regularly.. we'd stand out in front of "somewhere/something", you remember?.

donut shop, 7-11, liquor store ( genius ), driving to laundry rooms or coin-op's, etc... anyway, this past sunday i was pumping fuel for the long trip home early in the morning out of l.a. to norcal, when i spotted a young, energetic version of myself 20 years ago.

The bottom line is, that's exactly the type of thought-stopping that's cults use.

I spent decades aggressively telling others that THEY needed to critically examine the beliefs and practices of THEIR religions. Yet, I was indoctrinated that critically examining MY JW religion was bad and I should know better.

Can't "the truth" defend itself from examination and criticism? Truth can. Watchtower trooth cannot. Their "nulite" has to continually run away, hide, re-nulite itself, in an effort to escape from the real truth about their false prophecies and greedy materialism. Take off the cult goggles and you see JWs and their GB for what they are--a cult.

Hardly more than a year ago and WT was condemning the Interwebs as nothing but apostates and porn. It was "worldly" to waste money on tech gadgets. The Bible and hardcopy publications were to be used, marked up, and littered with sticky notes as proof that someone was spirichul.

Now my parents heads are swimming trying to figure out their iWhatsThis and figure out why they're watching TV at the hall. I guess there's new songs that have to be printed out from the website. Suddenly, the shrinking publications are disappearing all together.

At the rate they're going, many of the prophecies in Revelation will have to be updated to fulfillment with their JW website instead of assemblies at Cedar Point led by Judge Boozerford almost a century ago. Of course, a new "Grand Climax..." book won't be printed. Everyone will have to print out the changes from their website or just use the online copy that is updated daily with new (and ever-changing) light!

i am proud to be a jehovah's witness in the last days, what religion has done this much to proclaim the message about the organization?

other religions are preaching about jesus, some wear the crucifixion, other's wear shirts with fishes but we wear shirts with jw.org!

no other religion has our courage!.

Plenty of religious nutjobs in the Middle East and elsewhere are spilling blood and posting it on the Net. JWs don't even get noticed in the modern world.

You can put a couple of JW.bORG pins on the breasts of a couple of hot sisters and it will get a couple of looks from me. But there are plenty of fish in the sea that aren't in the net of a cult.

RBC is not a failure! Anymore that the DO’s that are being reassigned are failures. Would we say the book study arrangement was a failure simply because we have combined the meetings?

If those DOs and CBSs weren't failures, they would still be used. Successful things don't get axed. "Pioneers Assist Others" was also a failure. 1975, 1914, 1925, and "this generation" were all failures. Growing all their food at Watchtower Farms was a failure. And now with the description of what the new JW.bORG Halls are supposed to be like, the old windowless design was also a failure. WT Corp is just full of failures.

WTF? Since when are eagles lighter than air? Are JWs really supposed to believe that eagles would just float out of their nests if they weren't clinging to prey to weigh them down? That entire section of the mess is just loaded with idiocy. Why didn't they marvel about the marvelous design of mosquitoes and ticks that suck blood and spread disease. Can I get a "Thank You, Jeezus!"?

As a Business Model – this would be utterly ridiculous!!

Much of what they are talking about is completely copied from a business model--standardization, minimizing expense, they sound like they want it to be as windowy and inviting as McDonalds or Starbucks.

We all agree that the Warwick Project is monumental – and of utmost importance.

We all agree that the Warwick Project is a joke compared to the truly stupendous construction projects going on out in the real world. There are plenty of cruise ships that are far more monumental than that goofy cult headquarters of Watchtower.

It's embarrassing for me to read garbage like this from WT and admit that I ever belonged to this crazy cult... and that I have family that are still being deceived.
